One coordinated system

Store energy.
Put it to work.

FranklinWH brings battery storage, energy controls and monitoring together. BD handles the electrical integration that makes it work for your home.

01 / STORAGE

aPower stores it.

The battery holds energy for later use. We size storage around your priority appliances and desired backup duration.

02 / CONTROL

aGate connects it.

The controller coordinates supported solar, grid and generator sources, and isolates backed-up loads from the utility during an outage.

03 / MONITORING

The app keeps you informed.

View energy use and battery charge, choose your reserve settings and manage supported operating modes.

aPower 2 at a glance

Capacity for your plans.
Power for your priorities.

Stored energy affects how long backup lasts. Output power determines which loads can run together.

Backup that fits your home

Start with what
you want to keep running.

Essential circuits or broader home coverage? We work through your loads, battery count and charging sources before recommending a system.

Choose your priorities.

Refrigeration, lights, heating, cooling and well pumps have different energy and starting-power needs. Load management may be part of the plan.

Plan for the duration.

Runtime depends on available charge and what you run. Solar recharging varies with weather; compatible generator integration requires the right controls and equipment.

Prepare before a storm.

When enabled, Storm Hedge can respond to qualifying weather alerts to prepare the battery reserve. Available power, communications and charging time still matter.

Already have solar?
Build on it.

In Gloucester, BD added FranklinWH battery storage and energy-management equipment to an existing residential solar installation.

The project added storage and backup capability while preserving the original solar array. We review each retrofit’s inverter, electrical service and outage operation before confirming compatibility.

Before you decide

Practical questions.
Clear answers.

We’ll connect the product details to your home and your priorities.

Can FranklinWH work with my existing solar?

Its AC-coupled design can suit many retrofits. BD checks the inverter, electrical infrastructure and backup configuration. Existing solar does not automatically operate during an outage just because a battery is added.

Can one battery back up my whole home?

That depends on your loads and how long you need them to run. Large appliances may require additional batteries or load management. Whole-home coverage does not mean unlimited power or runtime.

Can I use a generator too?

Supported aGate configurations can integrate a compatible generator. We check generator type, controls, connection equipment and charging settings as part of the design.

Will a battery eliminate my electric bill?

No result is guaranteed. Savings depend on your rate, solar production, export credits, usage and settings. We evaluate bill savings separately from outage protection; fixed utility charges may remain.

Where can the batteries be installed?

aPower 2 supports indoor or outdoor installation within its specifications. We assess clearances, structural support, temperature, snow and flooding exposure, and local requirements.

What affects price and timing?

Battery count, wiring distances, aGate configuration, load management and electrical modifications affect cost. Engineering, permits, utility coordination and inspections affect scheduling. Your proposal defines the scope and milestones.

What about EV backup or sensitive electronics?

A standard EV charger does not provide vehicle-to-home backup; that requires compatible bidirectional equipment and a supported vehicle. Sensitive electronics may still need a dedicated UPS.
