Backup begins
with a good plan.
Protect essential circuits or plan a larger backup system. Your loads, battery count and reserve settings determine what runs—and for how long.
Outage operation requires compatible backup equipment and an approved system design. Solar alone does not automatically provide backup.
15-year limited manufacturer warranty or 6,000 cycles, whichever comes first, subject to terms. BD workmanship coverage is separate.

Charging speed depends on the circuit, vehicle and settings. Standard EV charging does not provide vehicle-to-home backup.

How long will battery backup last?
Runtime depends on available stored energy, household demand and solar recharging. Heating, cooling and EV charging can drain batteries quickly. We use your priority loads to estimate a realistic range.
Can I add a battery to existing solar?
Often, but compatibility needs review. BD checks your inverter, controls, equipment generation and electrical layout before specifying a retrofit.
Will I need an electrical panel upgrade?
Not always. We evaluate service capacity, panel condition, circuits and supported load-management options before recommending work.
Will a battery reduce my electric bill?
Potential savings depend on your rate, export credits, usage and system settings. We evaluate the economics separately from outage protection; savings are not guaranteed.
What happens after I contact BD?
We review your goals and existing equipment, assess the property and prepare a scope. Engineering, permitting, utility coordination, installation and commissioning follow as required.
