Cape Cod Community College Solar & EV Carport
BD completed electrical construction for a solar carport and EV charging installation at Cape Cod Community College.
The Challenge
The project connected solar arrays, power-conversion equipment, campus distribution, and EV chargers across an existing parking area. Underground and canopy-mounted pathways needed coordinated routing and equipment placement.
BD’s Scope of Work
- Excavation, trenching, and underground conduit banks
- Solar DC collection and canopy raceways
- Yaskawa Solectria inverters and AC distribution
- EV charger branch circuits and equipment connections
- Equipment pads, bollards, grounding, and commissioning support
The Result
The completed installation gives the campus parking area three functions: parking, renewable generation, and vehicle charging. BD connected the solar and EV equipment through a coordinated commercial electrical infrastructure.
