WHOI Mobile Research Laboratory Fit-Out
BD completed the electrical fit-out of a mobile research laboratory for Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
The Challenge
A transportable lab needs dependable power in a compact footprint. Equipment had to be securely mounted, efficiently arranged, and accessible for maintenance without consuming valuable laboratory workspace.
BD’s Scope of Work
- Electrical panel and branch-circuit installation
- Interior LED lighting
- Dedicated workbench receptacle circuits
- Equipment connections and surface-mounted raceways
- Final testing and commissioning
The Result
The finished laboratory provides researchers with dedicated electrical distribution, organized workbench power, and serviceable raceways. The installation supports a flexible workspace that can travel to research and field locations.
