BD Electrical & Solar is a leading provider of electrical and solar installation services in the Greater Boston area. We are seeking a skilled and licensed electrician with experience in installing solar panels to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, a passion for renewable energy, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and solar panel installations for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
- Perform electrical wiring, connections, and testing of solar panels to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement and configuration of solar electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues related to solar panel systems and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Provide excellent customer service, including educating clients on the benefits and operation of solar energy systems.
Qualifications:
- Valid electrician license (required).
- Proven experience in electrical installations and maintenance.
- Specific experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar panel systems.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in solar energy systems (e.g., NABCEP certification).
- Experience with energy storage systems and battery backups.
- Familiarity with solar permitting and inspection processes.
